The Data Governance Institute and The Business Intelligence Network
You may have already noticed some changes here on DataGovernance.com. The Guidance from Gwen section continues to grow, and we've tweaked our page layouts a little, enhanced our navigation, and bubbled up some of the content that you've told us is the most important to you.
Also, you may have noticed the Beye logo on our pages. That's because of our new association with the Business Intelligence Network (BeyeNETWORK). Starting in Q4 2008, we’ll begin sharing Beye content with you on DataGovernance.com, including whitepapers, relevant articles from the BeyeNETWORK Experts Channel, research, industry news, and yes, vendor advertising.
While DataGovernance.com will be listed on Beye sites as a BeyeNETWORK affiliate, we will continue to be solely owned, written by, and published by the Data Governance Institute. Through our association, we'll be able to provide new information about tools and technologies, but our site will continue to be vendor-neutral. Articles originating from BeyeNETWORK will be clearly labeled as such, and ads will always look like ads - never like DGI-written content.
We at the Data Governance Institute don't just write about Data Governance. We live it. And so, we know that most of you in the Data Governance and Stewardship community also care about related data management disciplines such as Architecture,: Master Data Management, Metadata Management, CDI, Data Integration, Warehousing, and Business Intelligence. We are so pleased that this new association with the Business Intelligence Network will enable us to bring you information on these topics from some of the world's foremost experts.
We promise to do our best to continue our mission of de-mystifying data-related efforts, making them accessible to beginners while also providing deeper and richer content for those of you who are working with more mature programs. Now we'll be able to highlight alignments and interactions between core Data Governance work and related efforts that are explored so well by the experts we'll be introducing you to.
We hope to partner with you, our readers, as we decide how best to expand this resource.. Please email us and let us know what you'd like to learn about next.
