5th Annual Data Governance Conference, Europe The 5th Annual Data Governance Conference, Europe was held 23-25 April, 2012
at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel, London, UK. The conference is produced by IRM UK
and was co-located with the 7th annual Master Data Management Summit 2012.
It focused on all aspects of data governance from beginning
a data governance function,
improving and sustaining your data governance program to achieving data governance
maturity. This annual event has Europe’s only co-located conferences
on Data Governance and MDM and is neither analyst led nor vendor led, with over 60
world renowned independent speakers and
major users of MDM and Data Governance.
The Data Governance Winter Conference:Practical Approaches and Success Stories was held on November 16-18, 2011 at the Westin Beach Hotel and Spa, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Keynotes were by DGI President Gwen Thomas, Bob Seiner of TDAN, and Peter Aiken of VCU. 8 tutorials and workshops led by the experts, plus case studies and sessions from practitioners from the following organizations: MetLife, Bank of America, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, SUPERVALU, Sallie Mae, LDS Church, and Kaiser Permanente.
Data Governance Winter Conference,
December 8-10, 2010, in Orlando, Florida,
focused on the "how-tos" from starting a data governance and stewardship program to attaining data governance maturity. It included in-depth tutorials, workshops and case studies.
Digital Information Management Summit 2010, will be held
November 9-10, 2010, Dockside Convention Centre, Sydney, Australia.
This summit brings together key stakeholders that are driving the design, delivery and management of 21st century digital information management.
DGI President Gwen Thomas will deliver a keynote.
Data Management, Information Quality & DW/BI Conferences Europe 2010,
are three co-located conferences on Data Management, Information Quality and Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence. This event was held November 3-4, 2010, at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel, London, UK. Produced by IRM UK, DAMA International, and Information Impact International, and was hosted by DAMA United Kingdom. (DGI was there in spirit.)
"Tell Me Where it Hurts: Using Medical Metaphors to Highlight Data Quality and Governance Contributions" - a webinar recorded Sept. 8, 2010 from IAIDQ (the International Association for Information and Data Quality). DGI President Gwen Thomas shared the lessons she learned on the day she slipped on ice, got a concussion, and began wondering what DQ workers could learn from medical staff.
