Quality Assurance (QA)
The process responsible for gaining assurance that the quality of a product, service or process will provide its intended value. (Baseline ITIL definition) See also Data Quality.

Quality Control
The discipline, process, organizational group, and/or system of technical activities that measures the attributes and performance of a process, item, or service against defined standards to verify that they meet stated requirements. See also Data Quality.

Quality In, Quality Out

Query
Formal, specific request for information from a data warehouse or spreadsheet or database posed by a user, sometimes by a tool operated by a user. See also SQL.
